Our community outreach is based on invitations from the communities to carry out sessions on organization information, mental health, suicide & suicide prevention, youth empowerment and other areas that affect mental health. The objective of the outreach is to:

•Recruit and build capacity of volunteers to provide awareness in the various communities in Fiji

•Create awareness around mental health, suicide and also offer support

•Create effective referral systems in the communities for youths and elders alike

•Create visibility of youth friendly health services

•Train peer mentor to be based in communities

•Documents efforts and create video for training and awareness purposes

•Information and covers all those who were not part of the previous outreaches.

We aim at improving our community service by introducing more innovative, creative and cost effective programs that increase knowledge and builds a community that is knowledgeable and resilient in addressing issues surrounding mental health, providing support to community members facing mental health difficulties and establishing an enabling environment where consumers are able to interact with others, contribute effectively to community decision making processes and be included in community activities.
